Spell resistanceNo
DescriptionYou may spend a spell point to touch a willing creature creating a suit of armor, or a shield, with which you are proficient. This created armor or shield may be of almost any material (such as metal, stone, or ice) using the normal statistics for armor or shields of its type. Armor created in this way only has a number of hit points equal to 5 + 5 per BCB + CAM instead of its usual hit point value; though retains its normal hardness. If cast on a creature already wearing armor it replaces any armor they have instead utilizing the statistics of the conjured armor instead; the conjured armor does not gain the benefits of any enhancement bonuses the existing armor had and instead uses its own values (if any).

The spell automatically ends when the conjured armor reaches 0 hit points, but does not gain the broken condition at half hit points like normal armor. This armor may be targeted by abilities such as Enhance Equipment to grant it an enhancement bonus, but enhancement bonuses granted in this way do not grant additional hit points like normal armor of its type; but may still improve the hardness as usual. Either the caster or the creature wearing the created armor may dismiss the spell as a 2 AP action.

General Instant Armor Talents

Instant Armor Reinforcement

SpellInstant Armor
PrerequisiteInstant Armor, Enhance Equipment, BCB 3rd
BenefitWhen creating armor with Instant Armor, you may spend an additional spell point to grant the armor an enhancement bonus equal to the bonus you would grant from your Enhance Equipment Spell, lasting the duration of the Instant Armor spell.
SpecialIf you have Instant Persistent Armor and Enduring Enhancement talents you may treat your BCB as 1 higher for determining the duration of the instant armor spell.

Instant Armored Army

SpellInstant Armor
PrerequisiteInstant Armor, BCB 10th.
RangeClose
BenefitYou may spend an additional spell point to allow you to target an additional creature up to a maximum of 1 + 1 per 10 BCB you possess for Instant Armor. Armor created in this way must be the same across all creatures affected. In addition while utilizing this talent you may affect creatures up to close range as part of utilizing instant armor.

Instant Effortless Armor

SpellInstant Armor
PrerequisiteInstant Armor
BenefitRather than creating a specific set of armor with Instant Armor, you may instead create a etherial protective shield around the target creature that does not restrict its movement. While unarmored, the creature receives a +1 armor bonus to AC, which increases by +1 at 4 BCB and every 3 BCB thereafter (to a maximum of +7 at 19 BCB); the creature is still treated as unarmored for the purpose of abilities that require the creature to remain unarmored.

Instant Folding Armor

SpellInstant Armor
PrerequisiteInstant Armor
BenefitWhen creating Instant Armor you may spend an additional spell point to allow the armor to magically fold itself into a smaller object as a 2 AP action. While folded in this way the item persists but is no longer donned and does not grant the creature its armor bonuses until it is returned to its original size. The armor may be instantly donned as part of folding it into its original size (a 2 AP action). The object is a tiny sized object, usually taking the size and shape of a broach or belt-buckle.

If used to reinforce existing armor the spell instead grants normal armor the ability to fold itself like the instant armor; though the armor immediately returns to its normal size and shape when the spell ends (either through duration of the temporary hit points being depleted).

Instant Persistent Armor

SpellInstant Armor
PrerequisiteInstant Armor, BCB 3rd.
BenefitThe duration of the instant armor spell improves to 1 hour per BCB.
